Heilbronner Aufzugstage 2024

Forward-looking impulses and encounters: Sautter Lift Components at the Heilbronn Lift Days 2024

High-calibre experts from the lift industry – from renowned lift manufacturers to component manufacturers, operators and consultants – gathered for the 41st time at the renowned Heilbronn Lift Days. On 5 and 6 March, important insights into the constantly evolving standards landscape and pioneering topics such as artificial intelligence and cyber security were offered in an inspiring setting.

The opening speech by Eberhardt Vogler (TK Elevator) provided an exciting overview of the dynamic development of the German and European standardisation landscape. This was then explained by industry experts such as the Chairman of CEN TC10 WG1 – Lifts, René Hermann (Schindler), and Stephan Störmer (TÜV Austria), but also critically analysed, particularly with regard to the new EN ISO 8100-1/2.

Axel Stohlmann from TÜV Nord gave a clear presentation on the transition from the current German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) to the new German Ordinance on the Use of Work Equipment (AmBV) and the German Act on Installations Requiring Inspection (ÜAnlG), which also includes lifts. On the second day, Udo Niggemeier (ASIB Niggemeier) expanded the range of standards to include important aspects of occupational safety.

On the second day, the focus was on pioneering presentations on artificial intelligence and cyber security in lifts, given by leading experts such as Prof. Alexander Jesser (Heilbronn University), Georg Schwab (AVL Software and Functions) and Katrin Schwickal (TÜV Süd Industrie Service). Klaus Dietel (TÜV Nord) moderated both days in his usual professional manner.

Sautter Lift Components was represented by Managing Directors Klaus Sautter, Christian Lauer and Joachim Schuster at the accompanying trade exhibition in the foyer of the Harmonie in Heilbronn. Together with well-known exhibitors such as Kübler, ELGO, Ziehl-Abegg, Meiller, Safeline, Riedl, Vertima, Hissmekano, Stingl, Cobianchi, RST Elektronik, Telegärtner and ALGI, we were available for stimulating talks and in-depth discussions with the conference participants.

Our focus was on the new cooperation with Siepe GmbH & Co. KG in the area of doors. Siepe ideally complements our extensive portfolio of vertical shaft sliding doors from our long-standing partner The Peelle Company from Canada with its lightweight vertical sliding doors as cabin end doors. Of course, we also presented our latest safety components, safety gear and the electronic UCM solution as well as our extensive spare parts portfolio from Haushahn.

Heilbronn once again proved to be the perfect starting point for an inspiring year of lifts, allowing us to meet many of our valued customers and partners in person and share our passion for first-class lift components.
