bf series

Discover our BF series: The BF brake safety gear is particularly well suited for the modernization of elevator installations. Its flexible attachment to different cars should be emphasized due to the possibility of defining and ordering fixing holes or bolts on an order-specific basis. If this flexibility is not yet sufficient, we will be pleased to design and manufacture customized outer housings for you. We have already agreed to such customer-specific standards with numerous customers in the elevator, warehouse technology and handling sectors. If you have any questions about the various types or specific design requirements, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Good to know:
The two basic types of the BF series differ in the design of the counter-brake jaws. In type 2, the counter brake shoe side is equipped with two additional sintered metal brake shoes. This design feature allows higher loads and higher release speeds in the same installation space.

Buy BF series with accessories conveniently at SLC: Your advantages

Our guiding principle is: We want to make things as easy as possible for our customers. This starts with the ordering of the BF series (just like all other SLC products). Use our order sheets to provide all the necessary information for the design and adjustment of the BF safety gear right from the start.

You also have the option of ordering complete safety packages from us, which include everything needed to modernize a safety gear on the elevator. In addition to the safety gear, the SLC scope of supply you require can also include the overspeed governor with tension weight and governor rope, guide shoes, lubricators and an electronic safety control (UCM-MOD kit) for detecting unintentional car movements. This saves you the expense of multiple orders from additional suppliers. We even surpass our partners’ offers in some cases, because we can usually deliver from stock (overspeed governors) or in quantity 1 (guide shoes). At the same time, our packages for your modernization project also include all necessary additional material, such as fastening screws and other small parts – you get everything you need for your project from a single source!

Your advantages at a glance:

Save time with simple assembly of the BF series

To ensure that no or as little additional work as possible is required on the construction site (for example, drilling or welding), we try to make the attachment of our safety gear to the existing elevator car as suitable as possible. In consultation with your technicians, we adapt our outer housings to the situation on site (hole pattern modification, adaptation of width and depth of the outer housing, or special adapter plates for mounting). Our range of products around the BF series and other safety gears is rounded off by a number of accessories.

Good to know:
In order to cover larger loads, our safety gear of the BF series has a modular design and can be extended from a single package to a tandem package and triple package. For use in particularly corrosive environments, we also supply our safety gear in a full stainless steel version! Do you need assistance in selecting the right type? Please feel free to contact us!
