We at BAU 2025: Sautter Lift Components presents innovative solutions for barrier-free lift technology
We are delighted to be at BAU 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. As part of the “Elevolution” research project funded by the Zukunft Bau innovation programme, we will be presenting our innovative solution for the barrier-free retrofitting of lifts in existing buildings.
New solutions are urgently needed: there are currently around 400,000 lifts missing in Germany, and more than half of the existing lifts are more than 20 years old and in urgent need of modernisation. At the same time, the demand for barrier-free living space is increasing rapidly due to urbanisation and demographic change.
With our “Elevolution” project, in collaboration with Chemnitz University of Technology, LiGenium GmbH and Vogel Gut Achten, we have developed a modular, compact lift system that has been specially designed for retrofitting in existing buildings. Our supporting structure made of lightweight wood enables minimal structural intervention, while the innovative drive is so compact that a machine room-less design is also possible. This system combines maximum flexibility, sustainability and safety – and thus offers a future-proof solution for the pressing requirements of modern architecture.
Visit us at the trade fair and find out how we can shape the future of construction together. We look forward to seeing you!
